HAY there!

About this time of year is when our farm in Snowflake, AZ starts to cut the alfalfa fields.  We go up two or three times to get hay for our horses.  Well I was the only one available in my family to go up and buck 115 bales of hay mainly because my brothers are all broken down.  This should be a red flag for Michelle that I might start going down hill faster than she thinks!  So I was lucky and I have a great neighbor Ammon Burnham and he went up with me to get the hay.  It was a great way to spend a Saturday.  We also got a blow out on the trailer on the way back with 10,000 lbs of hay on it.  So we were prepared and had a spare that we put on after some rebending of the metal fender that was curled up from the blow out.  We wanted to get our tire fixed ASAP as the spare was a smaller tire and if we had another blow out we would be out of luck for sure.  I was quickly made aware that on Saturdays in small towns everyone shuts down at noon.  We would have to make it to Payson before we would get any repairs made.  Well by the time we got to Payson the tire was holding up and I was too close to home to stop so we were blessed again and made it all the way home on the spare ( which still needs to be replaced).

This is our barn in Snowflake.  We have all the equipment inside safe and sound.  If you can see the guy in the red shirt on the hay in the background that is Ammon he is about 6'3" so as you might gather there is a little bit of hay there.  We could only take a little over half of the stack on the left because of the weight limits on the trailer and truck.
