We ate at a famous restaurant in Tampa called Burns Steakhouse which has the entire second floor dedicated to dessert! I love dessert so we just had to go!
The dessert room had little pritave booths that were romantic.
Oh and we took a limo from the airport to the hotel and to dinner.
This is the first view we had of Grand Cayman
This was the view looking out the back door of our condo on the island.
Our condo had a kitchen which we took advantage of that every morning.
This was the balcony where we ate breakfast most mornings taking in the sea breeze.
Our first night we took a Bio-Luminescence tour on kayaks to see the micro-organisms that flicker like fireflies under water. It was amazing
Driving in Grand Cayman was a little backward but I got so used to it that I had a bit of trouble when I got back staying on the correct side of the road.
This was Michelle's first crabcake! it was the first place we ate on the island and the best. It was dumb luck we found it. It was the only place open after 9:30pm when we got back from kayaking the first night. They stayed open for us. It was great! We went back two more times while we were there.
Sweet breakfast on the beach front patio.
Dont try this at home! Sea urchins are poisonous but these young ones dont have the venom yet.
We got to hold starfish and chonch shells with the snails still in them.
Horseback riding on the beach then in the ocean where we took them for a swim about 200 yards off shore!
After our swim we grabbed a fresh coconut to drink the coconut milk.
This was a nice place on an inland lagoon surrounded by mangroves.
Next stop was to swim with the Dolphins!
Footpush was amazing.
So after the dolphin swim I seemed to have gotten a rash...... Wrong! The next day we talked to our fishing boat captain and he identified it as a jellyfish sting. It was on both sides of my shoulders. In the area where my lifevest didnt cover my skin.
We rented a jeep the whole week we were here so we could do a little beach offroading.
To make things more interesting after our horseback ride the horse I rode spooked when I was leading him and he stepped on my foot while I was barefoot....Ouch!!
Wendy's!! who knew we would find one on the island.
Michelle is like a fish in water! Kind of...
Just a walk in the park hand in hand.
My orange smile
This was a cool beach front restaurant.
We were up at dawn to get the best fishing. This was our boat.
Ahhhh Barracuda!
Then Mike got sick.
The camera woman.
Good morning rays
Michelle was trying to hid behind me but the rays were all around us.
FISH ON!!!
Or two or three or four!
The camera women's perch.
We got the last fish we caught fileted and cooked right at the dock... Yummy!!
This place is called the Lighthouse for obvious reasons
Turtle turtle turtle turtle
Iguanas!
The church is everywhere!
The weirdest traffic signs ever.
Blue iguanas are only found on Grand Caymans. This guy we saw in the park and then later in the parking lot as we were leaving
He was great at posing for the camera
This is the restaurant that we went to that first night on the island... it was an open shack behind the local bar. Best food!
If you look you can see the runway on the island... if you don't get up soon enough you will land in the ocean!
On the plane flying back to the States. We had the most amazing honeymoon and did everything that we wanted to. It was a perfect week!
